As a singer-songwriter, most of my recordings are of songs I have written. The opposite is true about this collection. These songs by other writers are the most Gospel of the “non-Gospel” songs I have ever heard. All eleven songs have Biblical application – and most contain the words or teachings of Christ Himself. The original artist versions of these songs were released in the sixties and seventies, and most were big hits. The artists were John Denver, Roger Miller, The Little River Band, Jerry Reed, Glen Campbell, Edgar Winter’s White Trash, Johnny Nash, James Taylor, The Youngbloods, England Dan and John Ford Coley. The first one I recorded was “Back Home Again” for the Gaither Red Rocks TV Show. After that song was so well received by people around the world, I decided to take a shot at recording ten more. They are all very special to me, and I hope you will embrace the “Positively Wright” message of each one! |
